Moanalua Gardens is about a 30 minute drive from Waikiki on Oahu Island in Hawaii. The park is a popular spot for recreation and relaxation with both locals and sightseers. Moanalua Gardens, Oahu. Located about 5 miles (8 km) northwest of downtown Honolulu, Moanalua Gardens is a 24-acre privately-owned park managed by the non-profit Moanalua Gardens Foundation. The garden is known for the site where the annual Prince Lot Hula Festival takes place on the third weekend in July. Moanalua Gardens is the property of the Damon Estate. The Damon family used Chinese Hall in Moanalua Gardens to entertain commissioners, military officers, and scientific and literary people from all over the world. Facts About Chinese Hall. Moanalua Gardens mainly attracts tourists on buses coming from the East side of the island, so in an event of every parking stall to be occupied is rare to happen. The only thing I'd really change about this place is the souvenir shack near the entrance where you can purchase food and snacks.
